Want to know what's on my Secret Menu?
I knew from the day I won a blue ribbon in Michigan’s Corn Festival Coloring Contest that I was destined to be an artist. That was in second grade. Later, I received semi-private art and design lessons from a family friend who worked at a local advertising agency. Once I got a taste of the creative process, I was hooked. In college, I enrolled as a studio artist at George Fox University in the Willamette Valley and eventually added a Graphic Design emphasis to my Art Degree. My freelancing career began in college while also employed in the Art Department and interning in the Marketing Communications Department. After graduation, I worked at a 30-year-old advertising agency in a renovated stained-glass factory in Old Town, Portland, OR.
The advertising agency I was working for went bankrupt in the tumultuous year of 2008. I turned the layoff into an entrepreneurial career and haven’t looked back.
I love the variety in my work. My clients come to me from a multitude of places and industries. A mortgage lender in Beverly Hills. A wind power company in South Africa. A university in Indiana. A digital agency in Portland. A ranch in Australia. I get to deep-dive into each of their worlds through the creative process. I’m never bored!
